Frank Zappa-No Bacon For Breakfast

Radar Station Overview.Recorded during the Bongo Fury Tour at Boston Music Hall on 27th April 1975, except for tracks 11, 12 and 13 on the vinyl release which are from a different Mothers show.
The vinyl version was released as a double but is usually found in separate deluxe covers. Volume 1 has a brown and white cover while Volume 2 has a red and white one.
As can be seen the track listing on the CD version is slightly different (confusion over song titles aside) but it's a pity 'Willie The Pimp' has been missed off.

Guitar-less 3 PISU ROKKU BANDO PINKU FURAMINGO MG, or in other words the 3 person, guitar-less rock band Pink Flamingo MG is one of the most innovative Tokyo club bands I`ve come across, hard to classify but punk, electronica, eclectic, transformation, irregular, driving without synchronization, amazing guitar-less three-piece band are words that come to mind.
Sure, like in any other segment of popular culture, Japan puts out its fair share of disposable music. But it also fosters some truly amazing talent that takes familiar sounds and twists them all about into wonderful sonic concoctions.
Killer bass and drum lines and a lead singer with a bewildering array of foot pedals spread in front of him, connected to sampling machines and computers filling for all the rest of the instruments summed up to a unique sound.
Too bad they have dropped below the radar, a recent search has not turned up any info about them, besides a comp album with 2 other bands released a few months ago with new material, no new albums or gig dates turn up in the web, I`m gonna miss them.

Johnny Winter And - Live In Stockholm

Johnny Winter's Rock'n'roll Hoochie Koo aka Live in Stoccolma 1971

"Live in Stoccolma 1971" is in fact it is another version of the "Rock'n'Roll Hootchie Koo" bootleg with tracks in different succession. Apparently it belongs to a series of Rock titles called "the dictionary of Rock". Backcover says that the sound has been remastered, but except that it is less loud than on the original there is no real difference.

DISC 3

The Jim Kweskin Jug Band-Garden Of Joy

Jim Kweskin's Jug Band was one of the most peculiar outfits of the 1960's, and made some of its most peculiar music. Boston-based folkies, the band included Kweskin, its titular leader, plus Geoff and Maria Muldaur (who recorded as a duet and separately; Maria had a big AM hit with Midnight at the Oasis in the 70's), Mel Lyman (who formed his own cult/commune) and Fritz Richmond.

Garden of Joy, from 1967, is their best album. LSD-drenched jugband coupled with LSD-drenched folk is the only way to describe it. Zappaesque in places, woozy and good-timey in others, homespun and homely in others, with inspired playing... It ain't rock music, but it would appeal to any student of 60's psychedelia or folk and folk-rock, and they were a much truer jugband than the Lovin' Spoonful could pretend to be... Ghostly calliopes, weird grunts, a creepy/funny spoken word interlude, and wacked sound effects and laconic jokes add to the replayability of this classic. Highly recommended to the adventurous. Recommended cuts "When I Was a Cowboy", "Minglewood", "I AIn't Gonna Marry".

Following the exits of bassist/producer Felix Pappalardi and keyboardist
